Our wheelie bin went missing. I phoned asking for another. They said we'd have to pay, but there wasn't really another option. Then they got back in touch and said that they'd asked the crew and it had fallen into the truck and been mashed, so we didn't have to pay.

So why didn't they just give us a new one automatically when they trashed the old one? Makes no sense.

The Waste and Refuse boys don't carry bins with them.

It's possible that the paperwork got lost somewhere. And other such excuses. Or simply that they failed to report it, which would be a bit shite, really. :/
