OK. Maybe there are advantages to having real offices after all. I don't think I have space for a pool table, at least without commandeering the children's playroom...

Since my piano playing sucks royally, I don't often find this an inconvenience :-)
The pool table mostly sits there unused, actually. I can only assume that half our employees are too hard-working to want to skive off and play pool, and the other half are too scared to look like slackers, so they sit at their desks and spod in preference to making it obvious that they're not hard at it...
To be blunt, that'd be a bad idea in most companies: I dread to think what the senior academics in this department would look like in swimming costumes...
