Whether software licences can completely regulate your use of the software, or whether the only thing they can do is to permit you to do things that would otherwise be forbidden under specific laws (such as copying the software).

You know, the usual argument :-)

Software licenses give the licensor a potentially winning case when sueing a licensee who has broken the terms of the agreement.
