It wasn't that bad, I thought. A lot of the criticisms were valid (the plot had huge gaping holes in it, there were blatant bits of filler in the last episode, etc), but while on the one hand I heard the criticisms afterwards and thought "yes, that's true enough", on the other hand they didn't really affect my enjoyment while I was actually watching. Perhaps being tired helped :-)

Things have to be quite bad before they fall below the threshold of enjoyment. See the Demon Fire monster in the Angel episode we last watched.
