Hmm. I seem to have neglected this diary for over a week. I'm sure I didn't mean to do that ...
In brief, then: I spent most of last week asleep or nearly asleep as planned, and a fair amount of this week just past went that way as well. Around Wednesday I suddenly woke up and found a renewed enthusiasm for doing useful things, so I got started forthwith; and for the last two days I've been in sunny Berkshire visiting my parents, which was nice.
This week has also been a week for damaging myself; on Tuesday I went to WUS and slipped on a patch of wet floor, hammering my glasses into the side of my face. (Damage to face was minimal, but damage to glasses took half an hour to repair with pliers and cursing. Good job it wasn't the other way round, I suppose; if I applied pliers to my face I probably wouldn't be able to curse at the same time, so that wouldn't have worked well :-) And on Wednesday I went to the juggling society's first meeting of the new academic year, and in keeping with my long-standing tradition my arms felt pretty much OK the next day but my legs were killing me from repeatedly picking things up off the floor. (This is really true.)
