Bah. Bored, irritated and lonely, in roughly decreasing order of priority.

Yesterday evening was fun; Richard invited people round to his place in Duxford, so a load of us went down there in various cars (except Ben, who is mad so he cycled all the way) and played board games, chatted, giggled, and attempted to use Richard's PlayStation dance mats to play games they really weren't designed for. Got home at about 1am and went to sleep. So far so good.

Woke up at 7ish, couldn't sleep, got up and read for a bit. Went into town to buy missing bits of hardware for new pale green computer, and also spray paint to stop it being pale green. Guy in model shop gave me crash course in how to spray-paint things properly, which was handy.

Got home, plugged everything in, after all that hassle wretched item doesn't even work. Have mailed their "technical inquiries" address but am not hopeful of rapid response (because the web site warns me not to be; given my own approach to support email I can hardly complain very much at this).

So now I'm irritated because I've just spent several hundred quid on whizzy hardware which sits on my desk like a lump and fails to whizz; I'm bored because I planned to spend the whole day setting it up but have been rather foiled by it being nonfunctional; also I'm too tired to engage my brain on any other useful task so there's no immediate hope of me ceasing to be bored, and virtually nobody is around online so I can't even chat to people. I think I might just go back to bed. Bah.
