Truly this is the age of the Internet

Brushing the loose snow off the roof of my car, I found that the layer of more solid ice underneath had a message engraved in it. Some passing scamp had presumably written with their finger in the initial layer of snow, and when that solidified under the next layer the message was preserved.

The message just read ‘LOL’.

And you brush off more layers, until you get to the car at Layer 4. Because I learnt about the OSI model at a formative age and cannot help but think about the transport layer.

As long as there isn't another layer of ice underneath saying `WE CUTZ YOOR BRAEK CABLEZ' all is good.

No, in that situation the top layer would surely have read "O HAI".

Rather cryptic in the circumstances. Are you occasionally wondering exactly what they were lolling about?
Or was it merely a minor attack of postmodernism?

Mike and I went out in the snow last night, and didn't make snow angels - we made snow badgers - one of us standing up straight with arms out wide and the other slightly crouched instead.

I saw it :-) I'm wondering if I should hastily hack in support for non-fixed-pitch fonts on Windows, so that users can use Impact...

With an Alt-X,Alt-K,Alt-C,Alt-D key sequence to enable it ...?

It would be a very in joke.
