Antidote

It's common in problem-solving disciplines to find that once a problem is correctly stated, the solution can often become obvious.

On which basis: the trouble with snow is that it's white, cold, solid, and contains no caffeine.

*grin* I got the machine at work to make me a double espresso when I got in, and I don't normally bother with coffee at work, so I think you must be right.

So if we add coffee and call it a 'long iced one' it will all be OK?

I'd already decided that hot chocolate was the solution :) (Only minimal caffeine, but still.)

No: white, cold, solid, caffeinated is Penguin Mints.

Red, cold, solid and decaffeinated is strawberry jelly; white, warm, solid and decaffeinated is blancmange, white, cold, liquid and decaffeinated is milk. All very boring except the blancmange. Yay, blancmange.

I think given the choice of being ankle-deep in snow and ankle-deep in coffee, I'd prefer the snow.
