All Hail

Gosh, that's pretty serious hail out there. And I do believe I just heard it set off someone's car alarm in the car park :-)

Not very surprised; it's been and gone now, even here. Sounded as if an entire cloudful of hail emptied itself on Cambridge, or quite possibly specifically on my company's car park, in the space of ten minutes.

I think it must have been very localised. Over at CUED we got a heavy rain shower, but no hail.

Perhaps that's why that bloke drove his white van into the uber-gutter down the edge of Trumpington street...

Sadly I had no camera, and didn't fancy running away with my Japanese books in the rain!

I've been twenty miles north with the 'flu and I only noticed rain.

Either this means the hail was quite localised or I did a very good job of sleeping through it.
