Well, today is Wednesday, which means there's juggling this evening; and unlike the last two Wednesdays in succession, I don't have any aching muscles, so I might even manage to go along. I do seem to have a bit of a cold, on the other hand, but not a bad one; certainly not bad enough to keep me off work.

Last night, Kings hosted a showing of the Hitch-Hiker TV series. Or at least most of it; there was a problem with the sound which meant that, for some inexplicable reason, many of Peter Jones's Book speeches were absent - although the accompanying backing music and sound effects were still there, and only Peter Jones's voice itself was missing! By the end of the showing the tech people had managed to get mostly on top of the problem (every time a Book speech started without Jones, they'd reboot something and he'd come back), but it still seemed a bit odd. Fortunately entry was free, or they might have been a lot more embarrassed... Then again, I didn't mind too much; if you want Peter Jones you can always listen to the radio series, but the really irreplaceable part of the TV shows is the wonderfully silly graphics accompanying the Book speeches, and those were present in full. Particularly the Vl'Hurgs versus G'Gugvunts space battle :-)
