And so it begins
Don't expect to see a great deal here to begin with; I already maintain an online diary on Monochrome, where I go by the name anakin.
What I hope to start doing at some stage is to mirror the same diary text into that diary and this one, so that users of either system can keep up with me. Unfortunately, I'm a perfectionist and there are all sorts of entertaining little formatting issues to get straight before I feel comfortable doing that.
Until then, this journal is largely a placeholder, and also an LJ identity for posting to comments pages. But watch this space: I do hope to do something with it at some point.

Didn't realise you'd finally bitten the bittern (or something) and got a journal..

Re: <doubletakes>
And I think I've found a formatting bug - look what happened to the angle brackets in the subject line of your reply. Wonder if that's your hacks or LJ :)
Re: <doubletakes>
I think it's two bugs actually. When I clicked on Reply, the input box for the subject line came up with the angle brackets turned into entity references, in spite of the warning just below it saying "No HTML allowed in subject". I thought that was odd, so I was careful to use the preview feature before posting - and in the preview the entities turned back into angle brackets, so I assumed everything was all right. Yet when I then hit Submit, it came out wrong in the real comment. So the preview page misrepresents what the real comment will look like, and the setup of the posting page for replies does something odd. I've reported both problems.
But enough of the geeking ... what do you mean, me slacking? You're the one who picked up this journal only two hours after it was created! :-P

2 more people I can (hopefully, in due course) keep track of and vaguely in touch with, though. Good news from where I'm standing.
