I had a text message from one of those, and they said they were T-mobile and I should ring them up on such a number, so I did and they couldn't find my record. Duh. If I'd known it were a different company I wouldn't have done it - although I haven't had any spam phone calls yet. It just didn't occur to me that it would be like email spam, because I give my phone number to nobody.

Sadly, your mobile phone company gives your number to all their authorised dealers. Which is quite a lot of people.

The one that rang me last time my contract expired was based in North Yorkshire - not really my first port of call for a replacement phone, I have to say.
