Because then, in each case, you'd have a pontiff and a defendant…

Depends if they were Jehovah's witnesses, I suppose. Hmmm.

Interesting, since the Jehovah's Witnesses refuse outside expert opinions on health issues, that would definitely be an ecumedical matter.
