So for some time Mary had been telling me (and everyone else she talked to) that I had to go and see a play this afternoon. Also for some time [livejournal.com profile] atreic had been telling me (and everyone else she talked to) that I had to go and see a play this afternoon. A couple of days ago I realised that these were in fact the same play, or at least the same quartet of four plays performed in succession at the same venue, so off I went.

To my extreme irritation, just after the doctor's magical eye drops had vanquished the lingering effects of getting grit blown into my eyes last Saturday, I got grit blown into one of my eyes while walking to Newnham for the play. Bah. Perhaps I should wear goggles to walk around town.

The plays were good fun, though. Four short Shakespeare parodies, with worse puns than the Bard ever dreamed of. Some of them made me wince.
