Of course, the thing I should have remembered about Eastercon is that fundamentally it consists of spending several days in close proximity to people from different parts of the country. Which means there's a good chance you'll pick up a cold from one of them.

I want to be a properly designed lifeform, with modular replaceable components. I want to be able to unscrew my throat, put in the spare one, and soak this one in something soothing for a few days until it stops being sore.

In the absence of such cool body-mods, I strongly recommend a mug of hot honey, lemon and whisky. Add soluble aspirin too for do-it-yourself lemsip.

Yeah, yeah, I know, shouldn't mix alcohol and painkillers, but it does help you sleep and it's never done me any harm. "Made me the man I am today."
