I fought the law
I had an idea for a silly word game on the way to the pub.
I remembered the famous song lyric ‘I fought the law and the law won’, and I wondered: what law? If you fought some particular law, might it win in a thematically appropriate way?
For example:
- I fought the law of gravity, and it won by two falls.
- I fought the Law of Large Numbers, and it won … on balance … in the long run.
- I fought Newton's Third Law, and it fought back just as hard.
- I fought the Law of Unintended Consequences, and –
BADGER!
I feel there are probably more good ones of these that the combined wisdom of the pub didn't think of…

(In the pub I briefly considered 'I fought the Law of Quadratic Reciprocity, and it fought me too, except when both of us were congruent to 3 mod 4', but decided it was far too silly.)

I fought Benford's Law, and it one about 30% of the time.

I fought Godwin's Law, but it called me a Nazi.
I fought Clarke's Law, but it was sufficiently advanced that winning was indistinguishable from losing.

Also, so that this isn't just a completely gratuitous badger:
* I fought the first law of robotics, and it couldn't fight back.
* I tried to fight the second law of thermodynamics, but things got messy.

I like your 2LoT one. Elsenet someone fought 2LoT "... but in the end I was just too disorganised".
Though now I'm thinking about this, an alternative has just occurred to me:
I fought the Second Law of Thermodynamics, but I'd far better not ha'.
