There really, really ought to be a word for the feeling you get when you've just completed a sequence of difficult and fiddly chores, and you're feeling really pleased with yourself, and you think it's just the moment to go and sit down and savour your accomplishments ... and then you walk past the kitchen, glance in through the door, and realise that half an hour earlier you filled the sink with warm soapy water but never got round to actually doing the washing up. So your sit-down has to be delayed another twenty minutes while you splash about with the dishes.

Still, all done now. Eventually.

Oh god don't remind me of the state of our kitchen! I'm putting off making dinner just because I don't want to have to look at it! Oh well, I guess I have to deal with it eventually.
