Suppose list A consists of two tasks, each a millisecond long but with their deadlines five seconds apart. Then LA is 2ms, but DA-SA is just over 5s.

In this situation it's clear that SB can afford to be almost 5s earlier than DA without having to start the first task in A any sooner.
