Arrgh; I knew it was too good to last.

Several of my friends have had nasty colds recently, and I couldn't really believe Murphy's Law would pass up a chance to let me have a slice too. And, slightly delayed due to leaves on the line but still just as annoying, here it is.

I suspected something last night when I was just about to go to the Calling but suddenly decided I felt too grotty to bother, so I turned my alarm off in case I needed to sleep in this morning. And lo and behold, I didn't get up until nine (that is sleeping in, for me!) and my throat feels ghastly. That'll be a day off work for me, then.

(Somewhat irritating, given my looming deadline; but experience tells me that if I attempt to go to work anyway I'll only make it worse and have to take twice as much time off when I finally do succumb. Bah.)

*hugs* hope you feel better soon. And I think you're right that it's better to stay home than not in that case: I only took one day off work when I was first ill last week and I think if I'd taken longer I might have got better rather than having to take another 2.5 days off this week as well.
