Randomly took the day off work today, after Gareth said he was going to London to shop and invited me to come along. Made a nice change, although it was WAY TOO HOT of course.

Came back with some new juggling balls (yes, I know I hardly juggle these days, but when I do it's nice to have props that aren't falling apart, and perhaps it'll restore some of my enthusiasm for it, you never know) and a set of Astrojax (someone in Hamleys was demoing them, I had a go and decided they were entertainingly different and probably good fun for the price).

I think I've managed not to sunburn, courtesy of a rush trip to a chemist's to buy some Factor 50. Now the next challenge is going to be scraping all the Factor 50 off myself, and I have a feeling that's going to be hard...

King's Cross was a nightmare when I got back to it this evening; apparently 3/4 of trains going in anywhere near a northeasterly direction had been severely disrupted owing to some sort of accident. There were only two departures at a time shown on the board, and I think a lot of the people standing on the concourse staring at the screens had been there for quite some time. I was incredibly lucky, though, because a Cambridge train was announced about ten minutes after I got there; so here I am back home, with nothing I need to do all evening except rest my aching feet.
